Same-Day Notary Service in Dubai: When You Need It & How to Get It
Written by the team at Mousa Al Amri Advocates & Legal Consultants, Deira, Dubai, since 1997.
Yes, same-day notarization is possible at our Deira office. But there are conditions, and not every document qualifies. This guide cuts straight to what you need to know so you can plan your visit effectively and meet your deadline.
The single biggest constraint is Dubai Courts. Notarization at Dubai Courts (which is required for all legally valid notarized documents in Dubai) only happens within their operating window. Everything else follows from that.

What Can Be Done Same-Day?
Here is what qualifies for same-day notarization when all documents are in order:
Certified True Copies
Copies of passports, Emirates IDs, degrees, and other documents certified as true copies. Simple and fast; often done within 1–2 hours if you come in person in the morning.
Affidavits and Statutory Declarations
Simple affidavits confirming facts (residence, marital status, income, identity). We draft, you sign in front of the notary. Achievable same-day if you contact us before noon.
Standard Power of Attorney
For a straightforward POA (Special or General) where all parties' details and document details are ready. We draft it, you sign at Dubai Courts. Same-day is achievable if contacted before 10am.
MOFA Express Attestation
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers a same-day express service for AED 300 per document. We submit on your behalf. Documents must be with us by approximately 10am.
Simple Commercial Documents
Attestation of invoices, company letters, or board resolutions, achievable same-day if the document is already prepared and signed.
What Cannot Be Done Same-Day
We will always tell you honestly when same-day is not feasible. These situations typically require more time:
Documents with missing information
If you are missing a key document (attorney's Aadhaar for an India POA, a property survey number, or a party's passport copy), we cannot draft a complete document. Come prepared or send us everything in advance.
Complex or multi-party POAs
POAs involving multiple grantors, multiple attorneys, or complex authority clauses take longer to draft and review. We will be realistic with you about the timeline.
Documents requiring prior foreign authentication
If a document needs to be attested by a foreign authority first (e.g., a degree from India that needs MEA attestation before MOFA in Dubai), that foreign step cannot be done same-day in Dubai.
Corporate documents from scratch
Setting up a new company, drafting articles, preparing board resolutions from scratch: these need drafting time, internal review, and proper corporate authorization. Not suitable for same-day treatment.
Dubai Courts Hours: Critical for Same-Day
This is the hard constraint that everything else works around. Dubai Courts notarization window operates on government hours:
Why this matters:
Our office stays open until 6pm, but we submit to Dubai Courts within their window. If you arrive at 2pm on a working day, you will not get a Dubai Courts notarization completed that day. We can still prepare your document, draft it, and have you sign; but the official Courts stamp will come the next morning. For truly urgent cases, contact us before 10am.
How to Request Same-Day Service
Follow these steps to give yourself the best chance of completing same-day:
WhatsApp us before 10am
The earlier the better. Message us at +971 50 304 1127 with: (a) what document you need, (b) what it will be used for, (c) all party names and details. We will confirm within 30 minutes whether same-day is achievable.
Have ALL documents ready: no exceptions
Missing one piece of information delays everything. Scan and WhatsApp us copies of all required documents in advance. We will review them and confirm before you make the trip.
Visit our Deira office
Come to our office in Deira as early as possible after we confirm. Bring originals of all documents. We will draft, you will sign, and we will handle submission to Dubai Courts and MOFA.
Does Same-Day Cost More?
Yes, express service carries a premium. Here is what to expect:
| Service | Standard | Express / Same-Day |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Courts notarization | AED 320–510 | Same cost; depends on availability, not premium pricing |
| MOFA attestation | AED 150 (1–3 days) | AED 300 (same day) |
| Our service fee | Standard rate | Express rate: quoted on enquiry |
In most cases, the premium for same-day service is modest relative to the stakes: a missed property deadline or a visa appointment that cannot be rescheduled. We will always quote you the full cost upfront before proceeding.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is same-day notarization guaranteed?
No, and we will not promise you something we cannot guarantee. Same-day notarization at Dubai Courts depends on availability at the Courts notarization window (Sunday–Thursday, 7:30am–2:30pm) and whether all your documents are complete and correct. If you WhatsApp us before 10am on a working day with all documents ready, we will confirm honestly whether same-day is achievable that day for your specific document.
Can I get same-day MOFA attestation in addition to notarization?
Yes. MOFA (MOFAIC) offers an express same-day service for AED 300 per document (versus AED 150 for standard 1–3 day processing). We submit to MOFA as part of our service. For same-day MOFA, we need to submit by approximately 10–11am. If you WhatsApp us early in the morning with all documents ready, we can often complete both notarization and MOFA attestation on the same day.
I have an emergency: can I call outside office hours?
You can WhatsApp us at +971 50 304 1127 at any time, and we will respond during our business hours (Sunday–Thursday 8am–6pm, Saturday 8am–2pm). We do not offer after-hours notarization. Dubai Courts operates on government hours and that is the core constraint. If you have a genuine legal emergency outside business hours, we recommend contacting Dubai Police or the relevant government authority directly for urgent matters.
My company needs several documents notarized urgently: is bulk same-day possible?
It depends on the volume and complexity. For simple documents (certified true copies, straightforward affidavits), we can often handle 5–10 documents same-day if you contact us before 10am. For more complex corporate documents that need drafting, review, and notarization, we will be realistic with you about timelines and may suggest prioritizing the most urgent items. WhatsApp us with the full list and we will advise you within 30 minutes.
