Immigration Document FAQ

Which immigration documents need to be notarized in Dubai?

Common documents requiring notarization include sponsorship letters for family reunification visas, NOCs from employers, relationship declarations, financial support letters, and personal declarations. The exact requirements depend on the embassy or immigration authority you are submitting to.

Do I need MOFA attestation after notarization for immigration documents?

For submission to foreign embassies and immigration authorities outside the UAE, notarization at Dubai Courts is usually followed by MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) attestation, and then the embassy's own attestation. We guide you through each step.

How long does notarizing immigration documents take?

Most standard immigration declarations can be notarized within the same day. Documents requiring drafting from scratch take 1–2 business days. MOFA attestation after notarization typically adds 2–5 business days.

Can an employer NOC be notarized by a company representative?

Yes. Corporate NOCs are signed by an authorized company representative (HR manager, director) with their Emirates ID and a board resolution or trade license confirming their authority. We advise on the correct format to avoid rejection.

Is a notarized sponsorship letter accepted by all embassies?

Most embassies accept notarized letters from Dubai Courts. Some embassies (particularly European Schengen countries) also require MOFA attestation. We confirm the requirements for your specific destination country before we begin.
